Facility

The Griffin Center is located in Milwaukie, Oregon. It is nestled between La Salle High School and Christ the King Parish. Once a convent, it was completely remodeled in 2003 to act as a retreat house, education & conference center. It is also the home to the Ministry Formation Office which helps to educate lay ministers in our parishes and schools. The large campus offers a nice quiet atmosphere for any event such as a staff retreat or meeting. Attributes

  • The center includes 21 private rooms, each with its own bathroom & shower. Additionally, there are six double rooms bringing the total number of beds to 27 (linens are provided).

  • Larger conference room - this warm and spacious room is perfect for your large group (classroom-style seating for 80)

  • Classrooms - there are three additional classrooms, great for multiple classes or meetings. Each of these rooms can accommodate approximately 20 - 40 people, depending on the configuration.

  • Fireside Room - this room contains comfortable couches, gas fireplace and dining room table, an ideal space for a casual meeting or relaxed class.

  • The Classrooms/Conference Rooms, Fireside Room and Main Dining Room are setup with dry erase boards, screens & internet access. (6 rooms total)

  • The Chapel of Divine Wisdom - seats 40 and supplies needed for mass are available for use.  The chapel also contains a keyboard and OCP 'Breaking Bread' accompaniment music.

  • Commercial Kitchen (fully stocked with dishes, utensils & cook ware plus 3 refrigerators for your use)

Insurance

Non Archdiocesan entities can purchase insurance for each 24 hour stay or use their own insurance as primary coverage.

Parking

Parking near the building is limited so additional parking is available at La Salle High School.
